Carole Waller handpainted cotton velvet sleeveless waistcoat with small pockets and a raggedy fringed finish, and painted buttons.
The ‘Glider’ collection was inspired by walking the Malvern Hills and looking at the texture of the English landscape. the hills look out at Wales to the West and Warwickshire and Worcestershire to the East and you can see both ways from the topmost ridge. Paragliders watch, wait and launch into the air. The clean clear colours of the fabric wings floating in the atmosphere above green and grey of the countryside is captivating to watch, and informed the ideas in this collection.
This piece is all about the frames through which we see the landscape – it is in pinks, greens, lime, greys, peach and turquoise with simple blocks of overlapping colour.
Cool machine wash, seperately, and tumble dry – or dry clean.
